I've shut down rFactor2 servers and sync since at the moment it's not worth the effort involved for me. Keeping everything updated, answering questions etc. takes a lot of time in comparison to the time I actually spend racing on the servers. rFactor2's beta progress is almost laughable at the moment to be honest (at least that's my opinion) so servers remain empty most of the time anyway.
And then there are some problems with our web reporter which fails to recognize several vehicles correctly resulting in lots of rubbish records in our database. No idea how to fix it and no idea who can/wants to do it.
So, that's it for the moment. If you understand ISI's packaging system go ahead and install new stuff manually - there are still many (empty) servers left in the lobby. If not, sit back and wait for gold release.
